As part of our Land & Aerospace group, the role of the Maintenance Manager (MM), part of the JP2060 Support Program Leadership Team, is to support the JP2060 Project in the leadership and day to day running of the Maintenance Support Services team at the Deployable Health Capability Support Centre (DHCSC) in Qld. The MM is responsible for managing and exercising control of all technical maintenance and requested support activities conducted within JP2060 DHC (Support) contract to ensure that tasks are effectively and efficiently actioned, to correct standards, in an acceptable timeframe at the DHCSC and at Defence Units located around Australia.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Provide the annual plan for the conduct of technical maintenance activities, based on analysis of failures, Preventative Maintenance needs, Defence Unit availability and planned exercises.
- Provide the information required for Maintenance related Survey & Quote activities.
- Ensure that all Technical Maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner and to the satisfaction of the customers, both internal and external. This includes the activities undertaken within the Main, Tent (including wash bay), HVAC and CSSD Workshops.
- Fulfil the duties of the Site Radiation Coordinator, to ensure site compliance to the Site Radiation Safety Plan for maintenance and Training activities.
- Determine requirements and submit recommendations to the Commonwealth for exchange/disposal of BER/BFR items.
- Liaise with JP2060 DHC (Support) Engineering Support Team on obsolescence, substitutes and modifications.
Flexible work arrangements 9 day fortnight are required for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- 5 years Logistic Support Analysis experience in Defence projects.
- Technical trade qualification (Cert IV) or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Repairable Item Management, Logistics Management or similar qualification.
- Integrated Logistic Support experience
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
